Abstract
A tappet ( ) for the transfer of a lifting motion to a sliding part is provided having two parts, including a circular shaped section ( ) with a base ( ) connected to it as one piece and a separate dome-shaped socket ( ) connected to the base ( ) made of thin-walled material with a contact surface ( ) for the sliding part. The tappet ( ), whose socket ( ) extends over a considerable length of the circular shaped section ( ), can be economically manufactured.
