Abstract
A pulling tool ( ) of the type used on the end of a shaft ( ) to remove a mechanical part ( ) that is force-fitted or stuck to the shaft ( ). The tool includes a threaded rod ( ) and a body ( ) to which legs ( ) are hinged. A sleeve is designed to be mounted on the threaded rod ( ) and to form a bearing member for a member ( ) which inhibits rotation of the legs ( ) during screwing of the threaded rod. Thus, the sleeve acts as a member for protecting the threaded rod ( ) from the rotation-inhibiting member ( ).
