Abstract
A surgical table ( ) comprises a longitudinal, at least partly radiolucent table top ( ), a support structure ( ) for the table top, said support structure including a lateral tilting mechanism ( ) for providing lateral tilting movement to the table top ( ), a base (B) for supporting the support structure and the table top, and lateral floating means ( ) for allowing the table top a floating horizontal movement in lateral directions relative to the base ( ). According to the invention said lateral floating means ( ) are positioned below the lateral tilting mechanism ( ) for permitting undisturbed lateral floating movement in horizontal as well as tilted positions of the table top ( ).
