Abstract
A radioactive member for use in brachytherapy comprising an essentially stiff elongate, single stranded bioabsorbable carrier material with spaced radioactive sources disposed therein, and methods for the manufacture thereof. The radioactive members may be used in the treatment of, for example, prostate cancer.
