Abstract

A light fixture ( ) is disclosed which includes junction box ( ), an annular mounting plate, a canopy ( ), a collar loop ( ), a collar nut ( ) and a light assembly ( ) which includes a length of electric cord ( ). The canopy ( ) includes an outer shell ( ) and central winding spool ( ) which is mounted concentrically within the canopy outer shell ( ) and concentrically about a mounting opening ( ) within the canopy ( ). The central winding spool ( ) has a generally cylindrical central portion ( ) and an annular flange portion ( ) extending from the top of the central portion ( ). The slack portion of the electric cord ( ) may be wound about the winding spool ( ) in order to stow it in a safe and efficient manner.
