Abstract

In conventional ink jet printers there has been a problem such that with a decrease in residual quantity of ink, the density of the ink becomes lower and so does the print density. In a color conversion processing which a color conversion module executes in a printing data generating process executed by a printer driver an amount of ink used is acquired with respect to ink contained in each of ink cartridges and and the degree of variations in ink density is acquired on the basis of the amount of ink used. Then, on the basis of the degree of variations in ink density, a correction coefficient table TBL is retrieved to acquire a correction coefficient associated with print density.
