Abstract
Variable displacement compressors ( ) include a displacement control valve ( ) that is in communication with a drive chamber ( ). The output displacement of the compressor varies in response to changes in pressure within the drive chamber. A controller ( ) may control the displacement control valve so that the pressure within the drive chamber is maintained within a predetermined range. Further, the predetermined range may be determined based upon one or more factors that cause fluctuations in the pressure within the drive chamber during operation of the compressor.
