Abstract
A viscous material dispensing system utilizes pressurized gas directed to one end of a piston and cylinder assembly to extrude impression material from a dispenser through a tube into a dental tray which hardens to form a mold of the patient's mouth. The movement of the piston is controlled by switches which control gas valves which direct the pressurized gas to either side of the piston A timer is built into the material dispensing system to monitor the working time and the set time of the impression material after it has been injected into the dental tray
