Abstract

A plastic cleat ( ) for a golf shoe is disclosed, including a cleat body ( ), a plurality of flexible protrusions ( ) and rigid protrusions ( ) extending from the cleat body ( ). The flexible protrusions ( ) and rigid protrusions ( ) provide good grips on grass without damaging the grass. The flexible protrusions ( ) bend outwardly on a hard surface, when the rigid protrusions ( ) chiefly support weight. The cleat ( ) can be economically manufactured by “forced extraction molding” utilizing the shape rebounding nature of half hardened plastic materials.
