Abstract
A solder glass which has, by weight: about 60 to 67% Sb O ; about 27 to 32% B O ; and from greater than 0 to 10% ZnO. The glass has a softening point between 388 and 466° C., depending on the ZnO content. The glass can be employed as a molten seal in electrical devices such as tungsten halogen or metal halide lamps.
