The present invention provides a process for synthesizing 3-fluoroalkoxymethyl-3-alkyloxetanes suitable as intermediates for preparing various fluorine-containing functional materials, the process comprising using 3-alkyloxetane methanol as a starting compound and adding the compound to a fluoroolefin in the presence of an alkali.
