Abstract

A reversible garage door track bracket ( ) comprises a short flange ( ) and a perpendicularly oriented long flange ( ). The short flange ( ) includes a slot ( ) which has a wide portion ( ) for receiving a jamb bolt ( ), a narrow portion ( ) for receiving a track bolt ( ), and a plurality of holes ( ) each for receiving one of a plurality of rivets ( ). The long flange ( ) is identical to the short flange ( ), except in length. In use, an installer chooses which flange ( ) to secure to the track ( ), by examining a garage door's thickness. The installer secures the bracket ( ) to the track ( ) using either the track bolt ( ) or the plurality of rivets ( ). If the installer desires a different mounting distance ( ), the installer can simply remove the two bolts ( ), reverse the bracket ( ), and reinstall the two bolts ( ).
