Abstract
A process for synthesizing a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite having an MFI structure comprising crystallizing the zeolite from an alkaline aqueous reaction mixture that comprises SiO and Al O or their hydrated derivatives, and an amorphous aluminosilicate nucleating gel with an SiO /Al O ratio of from about 10 to less than 20. The reaction mixture does not contain an organic template.
