Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fixing an insert ( ) in an opening of a carrier. The opening is defined by a and second carrier edge ( ). First and second edge areas ( ) appurtenant thereto and pertaining to the insert ( ) are pressed against the opening in the case of fixing. According to the invention, the two edge areas of the insert ( ) can be fixed essentially free from backlash and by means of a clamping device that consists of two clamping strips ( ) which, preferably in a connected configuration, embrace the shell-shaped housing ( ) in a waist-like manner.
