A first helical gear ( ) is supported by a first rotation shaft ( ), and a second helical gear ( ) is supported by a second rotation shaft ( ). A rotation body ( ) comprising a third helical gear ( ) which meshes with the first helical gear ( ), and a fourth helical gear ( ) which meshes with the second helical gear ( ), is supported by an intermediate shaft ( ). The rotation body ( ) is further supported by a thrust bearing ( ) in a direction along the intermediate shaft ( ). The average radius R of the thrust bearing ( ) is determined according to the direction of the thrust load acting on the third helical gear ( ), the direction of the thrust load acting on the fourth helical gear ( ), and an angle &thgr;2 subtended by the application point of these thrust loads.
