Abstract
A control valve ( ) having a plunger ( ) with a stem having a flange defined by a first diameter ( ) loosely located in a first diameter ( ) of a bearing ( ) and a second diameter ( ) sealingly located in a second diameter ( ) of the bearing ( ). A space between the flange and the bearing ( ) defining a dampening chamber ( ) such that on movement of plunger ( ) toward an actuation chamber ( ), fluid is drawing through a controlled flow path (x) into the dampening chamber ( ). Under certain operational conditions, fluid pressure in the actuation chamber ( ) maybe subjected to oscillation and the fluid in the dampening chamber ( ) cancels the effect to the oscillation such that plunger ( ) remains in a substantially stationary position corresponding to an input force applied thereto to effect a brake application.
