Abstract

A stacked piezoelectric device comprising a plurality of piezoelectric layers which are stacked one over another has an abutment which is brought into direct abutment with at least one end face of the piezoelectric device in a stretching direction and a coating member having electrically insulating properties and which covers an abutment portion between the abutment member and the piezoelectric device so that the abutment condition of the abutment member and the piezoelectric device can be maintained.
