Abstract
An optical connector is housed in a connector housing member while an optical element is housed in a shield case . The optical connector includes a connector housing member which is made of resin and has a case storage recess capable of housing the shield case , and a metal heatsink which is attached to the connector housing member so as to close a rear opening of the case storage recess . The heatsink section comes into contact with the shield case and is fitted into a rear opening of the case storage recess while being exposed to the outside.
