Abstract
A terminal applicator ( ) for attaching an electrical flag terminal ( ) to a wire ( ) includes a wire guide ( ) and crimping tooling ( ) attached to and carried by a ram ( ). The wire guide has a wire guiding surface ( ) that cooperates with lead in angled surfaces ( ) of the crimping tooling ( ) to guide the wire into alignment with the terminal. The lead in angled surfaces of the tooling are typically limited to the side of the terminal opposite the receptacle portion ( ) while the wire guide surface is positioned on the same side as the receptacle portion.
