The invention relates to a vacuum grip system ( ) for gripping at least one object ( ). The vacuum grip system ( ) has a base unit ( ) and at least two suction units ( ) affixed thereto, disposed at right angles to one another, and each having at least one suction gripper ( ). At least one of the suction units ( ) grasps the object or objects ( ) to be gripped from above, and at least one of the suction units ( ) grasps the object or objects ( ) from one side. In order to provide The vacuum grip system ( ) having maximum flexibility, it is proposed to affix the suction units ( ) to the base unit ( ) such that, in order to grip the object ( ), the distance between the upper suction unit ( ) and the lateral suction unit ( ) may be varied. It is further proposed that the vacuum grip system ( ) have a mechanical undergripper ( ) upon which the gripped object ( ) may be laid.
