Abstract
A method of providing a safety measure when lifting a load ( ) by a lifting sling ( ) with at least two legs ( ) connected to the load ( ) at two connection points ( ). Instead of checking the inclinational angle of each sling leg, in addition to observing the working load limit (WLL), the user can check that the horizontal distance between the connection points does not exceed a Horizontal Length Limit (HLL).
