Abstract
A device according to the invention for writing information to an information carrier ( ) includes conversion means ( ) for converting symbols in an information signal (S ) into pulse sequences in a control signal (S ). The device further includes a transducer ( ) for generating a physically detectable pattern on the information carrier ( ) in response to the control signal (S ). These properties include the duration and the magnitude of pulses in the pulse sequence.
