Abstract

A driving module for a laser diode has a submount substrate for juxtaposing laser diodes and a driver IC . The driver IC has an electric current switch circuit for operating the laser diode , a output buffer circuit , and an input amplifying circuit . A power pattern of a band shape is formed on the submount substrate side by side with a line of the laser diodes . A connecting pad for supplying an electric current to the electric current switch circuit is arranged adjacent to a connecting portion with each laser diode . The operating electric current is supplied from this connecting pad to the electric current switch circuit by wire bonding.
