Abstract
There is provided a floating nut which opportunity of application can be expanded by increasing the floating amount of the floating nut. The clearance between the spline of an outer circumferential surface of a nut and a spline opening of a retainer is freely set on the condition that the outside diameter d of a flange 6 of the nut and the outside diameter d of a stop ring are larger than the diameter of a spline opening of the retainer The applications of the floating nut can be extended by determining the clearance between the spline of the outer circumferential surface of the nut and the spline opening of the retainer according to the required floating amount.
