Abstract
A stamp unit comprises a holder which is to be set in a holder storage part of a stamp manufacturing device for making a stamping surface on a stamp material held in the holder . When the holder is set in the storage part , the cam effect is generated between the positioning projection of a fixing member and a slant recess of the holder , thereby positioning the holder to a predetermined stamp making position in the storage part . In a state where the holder is positioned in place, microswitches A and others disposed near the projection of the storage part are selectively turned on and off by cooperation between detection recesses and a peripheral wall of the holder , so that the existence and the type (size) of the holder are detected.
