The invention relates to compounds for tumor diagnosis that consist of conjugates of dyes with short-chain peptides, which are derived from vaso-active intestinal peptide, somatostatin or neurotensin, the use of these compounds as optical dignostic agents, and diagnostic agents that contain these compounds.
