Abstract
An optical component has a plurality of optical fibers comprising a first core , a second core formed around the first core , and a clad formed around the second core , arrayed regularly so that the fiber axes may be parallel to each other, having an incident plane cut obliquely to the fiber axis and an exit plane cut vertically to the fiber axis. The refractive index n of the second core is smaller than the refractive index n of the first core , and the refractive index n of the clad is smaller than the refractive index n of the second core , and further the refractive index n of the first core , the refractive index n of the second core , and the refractive index n of the clad satisfy the relation of n −n =n −n .
