Abstract

A seal of single or multiple plies and/or single or multiple convolution regions features inflection regions to arrest or reduce bending stress in the seal's acute bend regions and/or ply deformations on non-pressure-facing plies. Additionally, there is disclosed the combined use of multiple-ply seals incorporating the inflection regions in each ply and deformations on non-pressure-facing plies.
