Abstract

A capacitor C and a switch element SG are provided in the primary side of a transformer TT in a start-up circuit Charge stored in the capacitor C is discharged when the switch element SG is turned on. A capacitor C and a rectifying element D are inserted between the output of a DC-AC converting circuit and ground. The capacitor C is charged by a current flowing in the forward direction of a rectifying element D A capacitor C and a rectifying element D are inserted between a node between the secondary winding T of a transformer T and a rectifying element D which form a DC-DC converting circuit and a node on a line connecting the second capacitor C and the rectifying element D The capacitor C is charged by a current flowing in the direction as defined by the third rectifying element D A node between the capacitor C and the rectifying element D is connected to a voltage supplying line to the capacitor C of the start-up circuit whereby its charge is stored.
