Abstract

A connector has a housing ( ) with cavities ( ) into which terminal fittings ( ) are insertable. Locks ( ) in the housing ( ) deform during insertion of the terminal fittings ( ) into the cavities ( ), but then resiliently restore to lock the terminal fittings ( ) in the cavities ( ). Lowered portions ( ) of a bottom wall ( ) of the housing ( ) face the locks ( ) and prevent the locks ( ) from being excessively deformed. The bottom surface of each lock ( ) has a convex arcuate surface ( ) and each lowered portion ( ) of the bottom wall ( ) has a recess ( ) substantially conforming to the convex arcuate surface ( ) to accommodate the convex arcuate surface ( ) when the lock ( ) deforms.
