Abstract
A light weight cable bead core is described having an inner core made of a metal wire with an outer sheath of steel cord wires . Each cord is made of a plurality of filaments . The bead core is particularly suited for heavy-duty service conditions in tires for aircraft, off-road equipment, and commercial trucks.
