Abstract
A medium truck tire and more specifically a super single truck tire includes belt plies reinforced with steel cords which make an angle comprised between 0° and 5° with respect to the equatorial plane. At least one belt ply is helically wound on the carcass ply . The steel of the reinforcing cords comprises high elongation steel. Radially outside to the at least one helically wound belt ply , there are several spliced belt plies , making angles comprised between 45° and 75° with respect to the equatorial plane.
