Abstract
In a wireless telecommunication system, for example a DECT/GAP system, under the control jurisdiction of a first telecommunication apparatus of the telecommunication system control mechanisms (i.e. messages, information elements and procedures) of a standard protocol (e.g. a protocol according to the DECT/GAP standard) are activated for the execution of a special protocol, which serve for the exchange of additional items of information between the first telecommunication apparatus and a second telecommunication apparatus of the telecommunication system.
