Abstract
An engine-driven portable generator using an inverter may still generate a voltage at its output terminals even though the engine is stopped. In view of this problem, the invention is to provide a portable generator, which is intended to prevent any residual voltage from generating between the output terminals. That is, a portable generator rectifying once an AC voltage into a DC voltage, converting the DC voltage into a single-phase AC voltage, and outputting the single-phase AC voltage, which has an output-stop-control unit ( ) that, when an operating switch ( ) is turned off, stops the operation of the inverter circuit at the timing when the voltage between the output terminals drops to 0, is provided.
