Abstract
A connector ( ) includes a body ( ) for connecting wires ( ) of a quadriaxially twisted cable ( ) with contacts ( ) of said connector. The connector includes insulating parts ( ) for receiving the twisted cable, the untwisted wires and also to allow connecting the untwisted wires with the contacts. The insulating parts include channels arranged such that the characteristic impedance of the cable in the region of the untwisted wires is held at the same level as the characteristic impedance of the twisted wires.
