Abstract
A die casting machine includes vacuum tank and vacuum pump that together evacuate the inside of a mold cavity to a first degree of vacuum, and vacuum tank and vacuum pump that together evacuate the cavity to a second degree of vacuum higher than the first degree of vacuum. The cavity is connected to vacuum tanks and for evacuating the cavity through an evacuation passage . When solenoid valves and open and the cavity is evacuated, a powder mold releasing agent is supplied by a powder feeding apparatus into the cavity . Filters and each having a filter diameter smaller than a mean grain diameter of the powder mold releasing agent are interposed between the solenoid valves and the vacuum tanks , respectively. When the vacuum tanks and evacuate the cavity , filters and capture the major proportion of the powder mold releasing agent, and the occurrence of trouble in the vacuum tanks, etc, can be prevented.
