Abstract
A bridge circuit ( ) having four check valves ( ) is provided upstream of a receiver ( ), which is provided upstream of an expansion valve ( ). A gas vent pipe ( ) for connecting the receiver ( ) and a pipe ( ) downstream of the expansion valve ( ) to each other is provided, and the gas vent pipe ( ) is provided with a gas vent valve ( ). Upon shut down, the gas vent valve ( ) is opened, and the expansion valve ( ) is gradually closed. The compressor ( ) is shut down and the gas vent valve ( ) is closed after passage of a predetermined time from the point in time when the expansion valve ( ) reaches the fully closed state.
