Abstract

An injection blow molding system includes an injection molding station ( ), a first delivery section ( ), a cooling station ( ), a heating station ( ), a second delivery section ( ) and a plurality of blow molding stations ( ). The station ( ) simultaneously injection molds M rows of N preforms ( ) arranged in a second direction (B) perpendicular to a first direction (A) in which the preforms ( ) are carried. The first delivery section ( ) removes the M rows of preforms ( ) using a removing mechanism ( ) in their upright state while decreasing the pitch in the rows. The preforms are inverted with the column pitch changed by an inverting mechanism ( ) before delivery to the cooling station in their inverted state. The cooling and heating stations ( ), ( ) cool and heat one row of N preforms ( ) while parallel carrying them along a first carrying chain ( ). The second delivery section ( ) delivers the preforms ( ) to two blow molding stations while in their inverted state. Each blow molding station ( ) stretch blow molds the N/2 preforms into containers at the same time.
