Abstract
Dynamic force measurement methods and systems for measuring forces applied to a structure by use of accelerometers attached to masses of the structure supported by one or more load cells. A load cell signal is combined with a summation of the accelerometer readings multiplied by the corresponding attached masses to produce a measurement of a force applied to the structure. An unknown applied force f(t) is determined by summing the load cell measured force with all other forces that exist between the load cell and the unknown force. The methods and systems can be employed in any type of load or force measuring machine or device.
