Abstract

(Co)poly-&agr;-hydroxyacrylic-acid-based polymers (P), optionally in lactonized form or in salt form, optionally as Mg-complexes, and which are characterized by a content in carbohydrate units and 2-hydroxy-2-carboxyethylene-1,2 monomer units, are suitable as biologically degradable, alkali-resistant stabilizers for peroxide bleaching agents.
