Abstract
A temperature controller is disclosed, which comprises a temperature control element disposed on the bottom of a case a light-waveguide element and a metal plate intervening between the elements and The metal groove has a groove, in which a temperature sensor is buried together with a highly heat conductive material. The detected temperature output of the temperature sensor is inputted to a temperature control circuit for controlling the temperature of the temperature control element The temperature sensor inclusive of its lead lines are buried in the metal plate such as to cover a long distance. Thus, the temperature control is less subject to the influence of the ambient temperature and can thus be made with high accuracy.
