Abstract

An insert filter for cleaning a gas stream, particularly for the intake air of an internal combustion engine or an air-conditioning unit, which includes a filter frame , a filter element placed in the filter frame , and a shaft cover and which is placed in the shaft of a duct system that guides the gas stream such that an unfiltered side is separated from a clean side by the filter element and the filter frame . The shaft cover closes a shaft opening through which the insert filter is inserted in the shaft . The filter frame is connected to the shaft cover so that the filter frame can be removed from the shaft without any need for additional removal aids by simply pulling on the shaft cover
