Abstract

The invention relates to the use as therapeutic agents of IL-2 peptides and derivatives having biological activity and anti-IL-2 antibodies which mimic or modulate the biological activities of IL-2. The invention also relates to DNA sequences encoding the IL-2 peptides, and to methods of using the IL-2 peptides and derivatives and anti-IL-2 antibodies to modulate or mimic or antagonize the biological activities of IL-2 in vivo and to assay for the presence and activity of the IL-2 receptor.
