Abstract
The present invention relates to recombinant DNA which encodes the BsmAI restriction endonuclease as well as BsmAI methylase, expression of BsmAI restriction endonuclease and BsmAI methylase in cells containing the recombinant DNA, and purification of BsmAI endonuclease to near homogeneity.
