Abstract

A braking servomotor ( ) having a rigid casing ( ) with a movable wall ( ) location therein to define a front chamber ( ) and a rear chamber ( ). The movable wall ( ) carries a piston ( ) that slidably receives an actuating rod ( ) for a master cylinder ( ). A control rod ( ) is sliding located in a bore inside a piston ( ) and moved as a function of an input force. The control rod ( ) has an end that bears against a plunger ( ) that has a finger ( ) that biases a reaction disk ( ) located at the rear surface of the actuating rod ( ) to transmit a reaction force from the actuating rod through the plunger to the control rod. The servomotor ( ) is characterised by a unidirectional clutch device ( ) that responds to a predetermined speed at which an input force is applied to the control rod ( ) to lock the actuating rod in relation to the piston ( ), independently, of the reaction disk ( ), the plunger ( ) and the control rod ( ).
