The protein, the partial peptide or its salt, and the DNA are useful as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for cancer, viral infection, infection, invasive staphylococcia, hepatitis, nephritis, bone disease, atherosclerosis or pain. The antibody can be used in assay of the protein, the partial peptide or its salt. The protein, the partial peptide or its salt is useful as a reagent for the screening for candidate medical compounds.
