Abstract

In the on-vehicle display unit , an indicated image on an indication surface of the display is reflected by a semi-transparent mirror to be directed above a dashboard through a window formed in a cover plate disposed on an upper surface of the dashboard . Thereby, the image is projected on a windscreen . The semi-transparent mirror is moved in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, so that the vertical position of a projection point P or P of the image S or S on the windscreen is changed such that the image is superimposed over the foreground at which a driver of the vehicle is looking. The cover plate is supported by a cover support construction so as to be movable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle relative to the upper surface of the dashboard
