Abstract

The invention provides an electromagnetic clutch that effectively reduces the shock noise produced during the coupling of an armature plate and a drive rotor, and furthermore, has a laminated body that can be provided at a low cost as an essential constituent element. The armature plate of the electromagnetic clutch is a laminated body that comprises a plurality of thin metal plates a plurality of fastening tongues project from the inner diameter side of the friction plate on the friction surface side, and these fastening tongues are bent and surround the other laminated thin metal plates so as to fasten them.
