Abstract
A pair of flanges ( ) which have through-holes ( ) for a rotating shaft, and a shaft part which connects the central parts of these flanges ( ) at a specified spacing, are formed from cardboard plates; furthermore, the above-mentioned shaft part is formed so that this shaft part is foldable. For example, flaps ( ) which extend in the radial direction, and which have base ends ( ) on the side of the central part of the corresponding flange ( ) are formed by stamping in each of the pair of flanges ( ) and slits ( ) which extend in the circumferential direction of each flange ( ) are formed on a circle that is concentric with the flange ( ), and which includes the base ends ( ) of the flaps ( ). The flaps ( ) of the respective flanges ( ) are pulled into upright positions, and the projecting parts ( ) of the flaps ( ) of one of the flanges ( ) are inserted into the slits ( ) of the other flange ( ), thus fastening the flanges ( ) to each other, so that a reel ( ) is formed. A reel formed as described is not bulky during shipping, and requires no separation of parts when the reel is discarded.
