Abstract
A bag comprising a body ( ) which has a lid ( ) on at least one of its two mutually opposing sides, wherewith the bottom edge of the lid is hinged to the bottom part of the body, wherein the lid ( ), which is substantially rigid, has an outwardly arched outer surface which is adapted to lie tangentially to the underlying bag supporting surface ( ) at a distance from the area in which the bag ( ) is supported by said surface ( ) when the lid ( ) has been opened out. When in contact with the underlying supporting surface, the rim of the lid pitches a plane that defines with the underlying supporting surface ( ) an angle that is greater than 5°. The bag includes means ( ) adapted for limiting the maximal angle to which the lid can be opened relative to the body to a value at which the lid will lie tangentially to the bag supporting surface ( ).
